what do you think of the steelers re-signing running back veron haynes?

The steelers just re-signed running back veron haynes to a one year contract. the steelers already have parker, davenport, and barlow. veron haynes is also recovering from a knee injury. though, there’s no doubt that veron haynes has been very productive as a third down back for the steelers.

Being that I am a GIGANTIC Steelers fan, I can answer this one with some authority. I like the move of the Steelers resigning Verron Haynes because he’s been a Steeler and knows the Steeler way, he’s an experienced NFL player, knows the playbook (even though there will be a new offensive coordinator) and on top of that, signed for the veteran’s minimum so it wont cost the Steelers in signing bonus or salary if they decide to cut him in August.

The Dallas Cowboys kicker Nick Folk court on Monday and replaced him with Shaun Suisham, I used to play for the team.

Michael Lombardi NFL Network reports that Shane Andrus, Steve Hauschka, Connor Hughes and Parker Douglass also tried out for the job.

Previously Suisham kicked for the Cowboys in 2005 and 2006. Was released by the Washington Redskins on December 8 after losing a key shot – the same problem Folk that cost his job on Monday.

Suisham played in 16 games for the Redskins in 2007 (29 of 35) and 2008 (26 of 36) and 12 games in 2009.
